The challenge courses are reconfigured annually and the 2025

course details have been posted at:

The obstacle course is the same each year.

At the regional competition, the courses may be placed in

the shallow end of the pool on the floor, rather than

suspending them. The pool is approximately

3 1/2' to 4' deep, with a slight slope.

Technical Report

Each team must prepare a 5-page technical report.

This template can be helpful to educators and students to keep their engineering notebook organized during the season and to make sure that students are collecting all information they will need to write their technical report.
This Word document template focuses on documenting a specific ROV design iteration.
These are good examples of past engineering notebooks; however, note that the format of the deliverable has changed since these were submitted:
- This engineering notebook placed 8th in the high school division at the 2018 International SeaPerch Competition.
- This engineering notebook won the 2019 Pittsburgh Regional Competition for the middle school division.
- This engineering notebook won the 2019 Pittsburgh Regional Competition for the high school division.

Engineering Design Process
